The tech giant is following its last year's tradition and has launched potato chips in flavours such as Snow Cheese, Hazel Onion, Salty Lemon or Obsidian Pepper that coincide with the colour variants of the Pixel 7 devices. Earlier in 2021, Google had launched a similar campaign to promote its in-house tensor chipset. As part of its promotion of the Pixel 6 lineup, Google gave away 10,000 units of potato chips in Japan last year. Last year's Google Pixel 6 series was the first to feature the company's proprietary chipsets. As part of the promotion of the Pixel 6 series, Google also made a TV advertisement and a website for the potato chips, suggests a report by Android Authority.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Google announced its "Made By Google" event where it is set to launch its next lineup of Pixel phones and the Google Pixel Watch. The tech giant had teased the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones as well as the Pixel Watch during its annual I/O developer conference earlier in May. Now, Google has an actual date set (October 6) for the full unveiling of the devices.
