Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7 And Pixel Watch launching On This Date Next Month: Check Details

Google has announced its "MadeByGoogle" event where it is set to launch its next lineup of Pixel phones and the Google Pixel Watch.

Google has announced its "MadeByGoogle" event where it is set to launch its next lineup of Pixel phones and the Google Pixel Watch. The tech giant had teased the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones as well as the Pixel Watch during its annual I/O developer conference earlier in May. Now, Google has an actual date set (October 6) for the full unveiling of the devices.

"It's all coming together. Join us live for #MadeByGoogle on October 6th at 10am ET. Sign up for updates and add to your calendar: http://goo.gle/events," Google tweeted.

The tech giant also mentioned that its new chipset that powers the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro won't be called Tensor 2, but it would instead be called Tensor G2 chip. Google had earlier mentioned that the smaller Pixel 7 would feature a dual-camera module while the bigger Pixel 7 Pro would feature a triple-camera setup at the back.

The upcoming Google Pixel 7 Pro is said to be different from its predecessor Pixel 6 Pro in terms of display brightness. According to previously leaked codes, the display panel on the Pixel 7 Pro will be brighter than the Pixel 6 Pro. As per the source code that is part of Android 13 betas, the Google Pixel 7 Pro will let users set the display brightness to 600 nits in manual mode, which is 100 nits higher than what the previous-gen Pixel 6 Pro offered.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro model will use a Samsung S6E3HC4 display with a 3120 x 1440 resolution while the Pixel 6 Pro featured a Samsung S6E3HC3 display.

What we know about the Pixel 7 series so far

Meanwhile, apart from revealing the upcoming Pixel 7 devices at I/O event, Google had also teased the backs of the devices that retain the "visor" design from the Pixel 6 lineup.

A change from the Pixel 6 line is the camera bar itself which is made out of polished aluminium that runs into the frame on both sides. According to the images teased by Google at the I/O conference, the Pixel 7 Pro may be launched in only Black, White, Grey and Seafoam colour options with no "Kinda Coral" variant in sight.

Another change in the camera design is that the camera cutouts into the aluminum are very obvious this time and look very bold and prominent. Line the previous Pixel 6 series, the Pixel 7 Pro features three rear sensors while the Pixel 7 has two cameras. The Pixel 7 Pro is likely sticking with the ultrawide/standard wide/telephoto configuration for the rear cameras, as suggested by leaks and renders.
