'Dell Gaming Lineup Including Alienware & Inspiron Leading This Year's Growth', Says Consumer Biz Head

Dell Technologies is placing its bets on gamers and students to fuel its business growth this year, as stated by a senior company executive. Raj Kumar Rishi, the Vice President and Managing Director for Consumer and Small Business, highlighted this strategy during the launch of new laptop models under the XPS, Alienware, and Inspiron portfolios. He emphasised that Dell Technologies will continue its approach of offering cutting-edge technologies at different price ranges and will prioritize laptop financing to ensure affordability for consumers.
PTI quoted Rishi as saying, "Share of gaming in the PC segment has increased. We see gaming and college and school-going youth to continue driving growth for us."

Dell Gaming Lineup: Price, Availability
The 16-inch XPS model is priced at Rs 2.99 lakh, while its 14-inch counterpart comes in at Rs 1.99 lakh. Dell also launched the Alienware m16 R2 gaming PC, starting at Rs 1.49 lakh, which is the lowest price in this product line to date. Additionally, a new Inspiron laptop model was unveiled with a price tag of Rs 1,05,999. The new XPS laptops will hit the Indian market on April 25, whereas sales for the Alienware m16 R2 and Inspiron 14 Plus are already underway. Rishi highlighted that consumer PC sales in India peaked at 7.2 million units and have since remained relatively stable.
"Before the pandemic, sales were in the range of 4.5 million. After the pandemic, these remain in the range of 6 million. This is good for the industry. We will continue to focus on customer experience and bring in the latest technologies to provide options to consumers across all price segments," Rishi said.
