CES 2024: Nvidia Unveils AI-Powered Supercomputer & RTX 50 Series GPUs
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang during the keynote address said, “Placing an AI supercomputer on the desks of every data scientist, AI researcher, and student empowers them to engage and shape the age of AI.”
CES 2025: At CES 2025, Nvidia unveiled two groundbreaking innovations: a home AI supercomputer called Project Digits and the much-anticipated Blackwell GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Project Digits aims to deliver the power of AI supercomputing to personal desktops. At its core is the GB10 Grace Blackwell chip, which combines Nvidia’s fifth-generation Tensor Cores and CUDA cores with a power-efficient 20-core Grace CPU, co-developed with MediaTek.
This cutting-edge "superchip" offers an impressive 1 petaflop of AI performance, all within a compact design that fits neatly on a desk. Remarkably, it is energy-efficient enough to operate using a standard power outlet, making advanced AI capabilities more accessible for home users.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang during the keynote address said, “Placing an AI supercomputer on the desks of every data scientist, AI researcher, and student empowers them to engage and shape the age of AI.”
Set to launch in May with a starting price of $3,000 (approximately Rs 2,60,000), Project Digits is engineered to process AI models containing up to 200 billion parameters, according to Nvidia. For more demanding tasks, the company states that two units can be linked together, enabling the system to handle models with up to 405 billion parameters.
Each Project Digits will be coming with a unified memory of 128GB, NVMe storage of 4TB and a Linux-based operating system (Nvidia DGX OS).
Blackwell GeForce RTX 50 Series: Price
Nvidia has introduced its GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, powered by Blackwell AI technology, which promises lifelike visuals with improved realism in shading and texture details, making even the most subtle elements more striking than ever.
The RTX 50 Series will be offered in multiple tiers, starting at $549 (approximately Rs 47,000) for the entry-level RTX 5070 and reaching up to $1,999 for the flagship RTX 5090. Premium models will hit the market on January 30, with more affordable variants arriving in February.
According to Nvidia, the RTX 5070 delivers performance comparable to the previous top-tier RTX 4090, which retailed at $1,600 (approximately Rs 1,71,300). However, the improved power comes with higher energy demands. The RTX 5090 consumes up to 575 watts, necessitating a recommended 1,000-watt PSU. Despite this, advancements in efficiency are expected to offset some of the increased power requirements.
