New Delhi: Apple is slated to hold its first event of the year and it is likely to unveil a new budget iPhone SE which has been in the talks for quite some time. The tech giant may also unveil a refreshed iPad Air and perhaps some new Macs too. According to a new leak, Apple may also unveil the iPhone 13 in a new green colour variant at its Peek Performance event.

If the iPhone 13 gets a green colour variant too, it will be the sixth colour. Apple has already announced the device in Midnight, Blue, Starlight, Pink and Product Red colour options in India. According to a new report by Apple Track, the new iPhone 13 colour variant will be a dark green colour. It should be noted that Apple had unveiled a new purple colour model for the iPhone 12 in a mid-cycle refresh last time.

A much-anticipated product to be unveiled at Apple's Peek Performance event is the new iteration in the iPhone SE line. The new iPhone SE 3 is likely to come with 5G support, a faster chipset and a better camera, according to a previous report by news agency Bloomberg.

Some reports also suggest that the Cupertino, California-based tech giant would announce new Macs, such as the Mac mini with a chipset update to M1 Pro or M1 Max.

Earlier last week, Greg Joswiak, SVP Marketing at Apple had tweeted the event invite with a cryptic teaser. "Peek performance. March 8th. See you there. #AppleEvent," Joswiak tweeted late on Wednesday. The cryptic teaser shows the Apple logo in various colours which indicates that Apple may unveil one of its products in several colour options and it could be the Apple iPad Air 5 since the company has not launched a new iteration in the iPad Air line since 2020.

Earlier last week, a leak suggested that a new affordable Apple iPhone SE is likely to be available at a starting price of  $300 or roughly Rs 22,500. According to the tip by analyst John Donovan, the upcoming iPhone SE 3 may cost $300 that makes it much cheaper than the base variant of the Apple iPhone 12 in the US. The iPhone SE 3 will be a 5G device.
