Apple To Launch A Slim iPhone? 17 Series May Feature Most Expensive & Most Unique Phone From The Company
Apple iPhone 17 Slim is expected to sport a 6.6-inch display, positioning it between the 6.1-inch iPhone 17 and the 6.3-inch iPhone 17 Pro, but smaller than the 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Apple may introduce a new model to its iPhone lineup next year, potentially altering its current range, according to a recent report. Historically, the tech giant has released four models annually, including the latest iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The anticipated iPhone 17 Slim (since 2025 will see the launch of iPhone 17, if Apple sticks to its nomenclature routine) could either join or replace an existing model and may come with a price tag exceeding that of Apple's most expensive flagship phones.
Sources quoted by The Information indicate that Apple plans to unveil the iPhone 17 Slim as part of its 2025 offerings. While the iPhone 16 series, expected to be launched in the second half of 2024, has yet to be announced, speculation about the subsequent models is already stirring interest. The iPhone 17 Slim might take the place of the 'Plus' model, which might face a similar fate as the iPhone 13 mini, Apple's compact model from 2021.

Costliest iPhone To Date
According to unnamed insiders, the iPhone 17 Slim is expected surpass the iPhone 17 Pro Max as the priciest model in Apple's 2025 lineup. This follows the trend set by the recently launched iPad Pro (2024), which features a notably slimmer design compared to its predecessor.
The iPhone 17 Slim is rumoured to feature a revamped design, potentially including a centrally aligned rear camera module and an aluminium body. This would mark a departure from the design language that has been largely consistent since the iPhone X's debut in 2017.

Another report suggests that Apple aims to shrink the size of the Dynamic Island in the upcoming iPhone 17 series. The iPhone 17 Slim is expected to sport a 6.6-inch display, positioning it between the 6.1-inch iPhone 17 and the 6.3-inch iPhone 17 Pro, but smaller than the 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max.
However, as these developments are still over a year away from an official announcement, the details should be taken with caution. Apple is likely to reveal the iPhone 17 series following the launch of the iPhone 16 lineup in the latter half of 2024.
