Apple May Refresh Its iPad Lineup This Week With 3 Models. Everything You Should Know

Apple is likely to launch a new baseline iPad, an iPad mini as well as an upgraded iPad Air with M2 chipset this week, says a report by 9to5Mac, citing sources. This is contrary to some tipsters who suggest that Apple may not refresh its iPad lineup for a while. It is beng said that the three new models would launch with iPadOS.

We all know that the Apple iPad Air is a capable device that sits between the iPad mini and the iPad Pro while the iPad mini is an option for those who are looking for a portable tablet. It should be noted that there has been no confirmation from Apple on the launch of the neew iPads.

The new iPad models may be unveiled as soon as tomorrow (October 17), according to a report by Supercharged. The new iPad models would look similar to their predecessors and would come with a few hardware tweaks, the report added.

It is being said that the tech giant's call to revamp its iPad lineup with renewed focus on more affordable models is in line with its plans to reach a broader audience.

To recall, Apple made a surprise refresh in its iPad lineup with the iPad (10th generation) and iPad Pro (2022) last year in October. The iPad (10th Gen) variant comes with a USB Type-C port, instead of Apple’s standard Lightning port. Powered by the A14 Bionic chip, it sports a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display as well as a landscape front camera. The iPad Pro, on the other hand, is powered by Apple’s new M2 chip and comes in two sizes: 11 and 12.9 inches.

Apple iPad Pro was unveiled in two colourways: Silver and Space Grey. The iPad Pro (2022) comes in four storage configurations — 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. It will be available in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular models.

The 10th Gen iPad was launched in four colour options: Blue, Pink, Silver, and Yellow. The device comes in two storage configurations — 64GB and 256GB. It will also come in  Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular models.

For the new iPad Pro, the Magic Keyboard has been priced at Rs 29,900 for the 11-inch model and Rs 33,900 for the 12.9-inch variant, with layouts for over 30 languages. It is available in Black and White colourways. The Smart Folio for iPad Pro is available at Rs 8,500 for the new 11-inch model and Rs 10,900 for the 12.9-inch variant. It is available in Black, White, and Marine Blue colour options.
