Apple has officially unveiled its latest iMac, now powered by the new M4 chipset, marking a significant upgrade in performance and functionality. The latest model retains the sleek design introduced in 2021 with the M1 version but boasts powerful enhancements in its internals. Among the most notable updates is the introduction of accessories that support USB Type-C connectivity, fulfilling a long-standing request from Apple enthusiasts worldwide.

The new iMac M4 comes bundled with the updated Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse, both of which are standard inclusions in every purchase. Additionally, users have the option to enhance their experience with the Magic Trackpad, which is available separately.

All three accessories are now fully compatible with USB Type-C, allowing for a seamless connection to a wide array of devices and peripherals. Apple has also ensured that these accessories are available in a variety of colours to match the iMac's aesthetic. Customers can choose from black and white options, with the iMac itself offered in seven vibrant colours: green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver.

The pricing in India for the accessories starts at Rs 9,500 for the Magic Mouse, making it the most affordable option. The Magic Trackpad is priced at Rs 14,500, while the more advanced Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad comes in at Rs 19,500.

In terms of performance, the iMac M4 is equipped with an 8-core CPU and an 8-core GPU, which together provide a substantial boost in processing power, reportedly delivering up to 1.7 times the performance of the previous M1 model. It also features 16GB of unified memory and 256GB of onboard SSD storage, ensuring that users have ample speed and space for their computing needs. The inclusion of two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports adds further versatility, allowing users to connect multiple devices effortlessly.
