Weeks after Apple iPhone 14 lineup was launched with satellite connectivity support, Samsung is working to introduce satellite connectivity, which would help users in times of emergency, a new leak suggests. Apple's satellite connectivity feature on the new iPhone 14 lineup works by letting users communicate with rescuers and share a location which is "Emergency SOS via Satellite".

Now, according to an industry tipster named Ricciolo, South Korean tech giant Samsung is also working to introduce satellite connectivity feature with its upcoming flagship Galaxy smartphones.
However, the tipster did not confirm if the satellite connectivity feature would debut with the Galaxy S23 series. Samsung is likely to introduce the flagship Galaxy S23 lineup in January 2023.

Meanwhile, the newly launched Apple iPhone 14 series comes with the much-talked-about satellite connectivity feature which would have limited availability in the US and Canada only by November. A new leak suggested last week that the much useful feature would be rolling out to other countries too. ABP Live could confirm that Apple is currently focused on Satellite connectivity features in the US and Canada only.

Apple has added Satellite Connectivity to this year's iPhone 14 as it says "emergencies don't always happen when it's convenient". Users can hold their phone and it would find a satellite so they can communicate with rescuers and share a location which is "Emergency SOS via Satellite".
According to the tech giant, the easy accessibility of this satellite service could be a game changer for many backwoods explorers and remote search-and-rescue agencies trying to find lost people. Satellite connectivity is included free for two years with the iPhone 14 in the US and Canada and it launches in November, Apple had said at the launch of the iPhone 14 series on September 7.
