Elon Musk Emerging To Be Vital Presence At Donald Trump's Mar-A-Lago Following US Election Win
Musk has been involved in several key discussions, including calls with world leaders, such as a congratulatory call from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Donald Trump's Florida club Mar-a-Lago has been buzzing with individuals eager to secure roles in his upcoming administration or to push forward their preferred candidates. However, one figure stands out for his significant influence: Elon Musk. As reported by CNN, the tech mogul and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX has been a near-constant presence at the resort since Trump’s election win, reportedly dining with him on occasion and even joining the president-elect and his family on the golf course.
Musk Involved In Key Discussions
Musk has been involved in several key discussions, including calls with world leaders, such as a congratulatory call from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. During that call, Trump reportedly put Zelenskyy on speakerphone, allowing him to express gratitude to Musk for providing Ukraine with the Starlink internet service.
On the political front, Musk has thrown his weight into the ongoing GOP Senate leadership dispute, backing Senator Rick Scott after Scott endorsed Trump’s stance on recess appointments for his nominees, a move intended to bypass potential Congressional gridlock.

Trump Impressed With Musk
As per CNN, sources indicate Trump is highly impressed with Musk. In his victory speech, Trump stated, "We have to protect our geniuses; we don’t have that many of them." While Musk is unlikely to assume an official government role, insiders suggest he may still exert substantial influence, possibly through a blue-ribbon committee where he could maintain access without facing the stringent ethics regulations of a formal government position.
While the idea of Musk leading a federal efficiency commission was floated, reports suggest Musk’s role will likely remain advisory, allowing him to maintain leadership over his businesses without the constraints of public office.
Musk Contributed Millions
Musk’s support for Trump has been more than verbal. Federal Election Commission records reveal that by mid-October, Musk had contributed close to $119 million to a political action committee aligned with Trump. He has appeared at Trump rallies and hosted an interview with the president-elect on X, his social media platform.
Investors responded favourably to Musk's backing of Trump, as Tesla shares surged nearly 15% after the election, marking a two-year high and boosting Musk’s personal stock holdings by approximately $15 billion.
