The AI chatbots, functional in both Hindi and English, will play a critical role in distributing important guidelines and instructions issued by the ECI and the Delhi Police.

With the Delhi Assembly elections on the horizon, the Delhi Police has unveiled two AI-powered chatbots, ‘Chunav Mitra’ and ‘Cyber Sarthi,’ designed to enhance coordination and ensure efficient handling of election-related tasks. The initiative, led by Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, aims to modernise election management and strengthen cybersecurity protocols.
Special Commissioner of Police (Crime) Devesh Chandra Srivastva shared that the chatbots, functional in both Hindi and English, will play a critical role in distributing important guidelines and instructions issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) and the Delhi Police. These tools are part of a broader effort to simplify complex processes and provide real-time information to personnel on the ground.
What Can ‘Chunav Mitra’ & ‘Cyber Sarthi’ Do?
Chunav Mitra: Tailored for election duties, this chatbot offers instant access to essential rules, field instructions, and directives. It acts as a virtual guide, ensuring that officers have quick and easy access to critical information.
Cyber Sarthi: Focused on digital safety, this chatbot provides detailed cybersecurity guidelines to help officers securely use digital platforms and protect sensitive election data.
Both chatbots are equipped with extensive databases and can be accessed via a secure link or QR code, enabling quick and seamless usage. Their intuitive interface ensures that even complex directives are presented in a simplified and actionable manner.
Srivastva noted that these AI-driven tools are designed to boost efficiency during elections, ensuring better coordination between the police force and paramilitary personnel deployed in the capital.
By integrating advanced AI technology into their operations, the Delhi Police are setting a benchmark for utilising innovation in public service. The chatbots are expected to significantly contribute to smooth election processes and bolster the security of digital systems during this crucial period.
