Aarthi Ramamurthy And Anu Atluru Leave Clubhouse. Everything You Should Know

Clubhouse's International Head Aarthi Ramamurthy has quit and one of the firm's earliest employees, Anu Atluru, also Clubhouse's Community Head has announced leaving the company.

New Delhi: Social audio chat app Clubhouse has just witnessed two senior management exits. Clubhouse's International Head Aarthi Ramamurthy has quit a year after joining the company and one of the firm's earliest employees, Anu Atluru, also Clubhouse's Community Head has announced leaving the company. The senior management exits at Clubhouse come amid the waning popularity of the audio chat app which grabbed a lot of limelight at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

"Career update! After over a year, I’ve decided to leave Clubhouse - I’m so grateful for the opportunity to lead international product efforts and scale Clubhouse across the 🌎 and learn from the best coworkers in the industry," Aarthi Ramamurthy tweeted from her handle @aarthir on Thursday.

"I’m going to take some time off to be funemployed for the first time in my career, continue to be an active angel investor and product advisor," Ramamurthy added.

She was employed with Facebook (now Meta) before she joined Clubhouse where her role was to lead the product efforts for the company's communities. Her previous stints include Microsoft and Netflix and she is also the founder of a YC-backed photography gear rental start-up, according to reports.

Atluru also announced on Twitter that she was leaving the company. "After 2 yrs, I’m officially taking my leave from Clubhouse! It’s been a wild ride building zero to one, serving as our first Head of Community, and going from a team of 3 to 100+! Next, I’m excited to explore new ideas again as a founder, investor, & community builder!" she posted on Twitter.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she is an early investor in start-ups such as Clubhouse, Collage, Daze, BeReal, Pallet, Peachy, Squads and Station and a venture capital firm Banana Capital.
