Musk Sues OpenAI
In a parallel development, tech magnate Elon Musk, former OpenAI co-founder, has initiated legal action against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman. Musk alleges a contractual breach, contending that OpenAI's focus on profit and commercial interests diverges from its initial commitment to public welfare, as per media reports.
The lawsuit, filed in San Francisco late Thursday, underscores a conflict between Musk and the AI startup he helped establish. Discord arose partly due to substantial investments from Microsoft, according to Reuters. Musk, who severed ties with OpenAI's board in 2018, has vocally criticized Microsoft's involvement with the company.
