Vande Bharat Express Completes Trial Run Between Chennai And Mysuru, PM Modi To Flag Off Train On Nov 11
On Monday, the trail run started from Dr MGR Chennai Central Railway Station and made two stoppages in Katpadi and KSR Bengaluru before reaching Mysuru.
Chennai: Indian Railways completed the trail run of Vande Bharat Express of the country from Dr MGR Chennai Central Railway Station to Mysuru through KSR Bengaluru.
On Monday, the trail run started from Dr MGR Chennai Central Railway Station and made two stoppages in Katpadi and KSR Bengaluru before reaching Mysuru.
Ministry of Railways said, "South India to get its first Vande Bharat soon! Trial run of Vande Bharat Express between Chennai and Mysuru conducted successfully."

On Tuesday, the train will also depart from Mysuru junction and reach Dr MGR Chennai Central.
The trial runs were conducted so that the drivers can better understand the working model of the express train. They can also get familiar with the safety parameters, level crossing gates and others.
Vande Bharat Express will cover 504 kilometers in six and a half hours and will be available six days a week. The Chennai-Mysuru service will be charged Rs 920 for the economy and executive classes for Rs 1,880.
The Vande Bharat Express will commute at a speed of 160 km/h. The Express was inaugurated on February 15, 2019 and the commercial service started ahead of the General elections 2019.
This will be the fifth route of Vande Bharat Express train in the country. This particular route is also the first south Indian route. It may also be noted that Karnataka is set to run up for elections next year in May.
The trains have Train Collision Avoidance System named as KAVACH. The express train also has disaster lights and it has a battery backup for three hours.
