Man Held For Raping Minor Daughter Multiple Times, Forced Her To Drink Alcohol

The child also said that her father forced her to drink alcohol and then sexually abused her. Whenever the girl refused to cooperate, she said that the father hit her.

Chennai: A 14-year-old girl was found crying on the shores of Marina Beach by Chennai police on Saturday.  The police attempted to question the lone girl child but she did not give any answers and the police sent her to a private home in New Vannarpet. However, hours later, the girl child revealed that she was raped by her father who served her alcohol and misbehaved with her on several occassions with the knowledge of her step mother.

According to a report on ABP Nadu, the officials of the private home gave food to the child but she refused to eat. Hence, the other inmates of the home started talking to her and she started opening up about her family.

She told the inmates that her father was Kumar (46) and her mothers succumbed 10 years ago. Her mother Kumar then married Kasthuri and all of them  were residing in the same home in Karumbakkam of Chengalpattu district.

However from last month, the girl said that Kumar allegedly started sexually assaulting her with the help of his second wife. The child also said that her father forced her to drink alcohol and then sexually abused her several times. Whenever the girl refused to cooperate, she said that her father hit her. She said that she informed about the incident to her step-mother but she did not take any note of the matter. Following this, the girl child left the home and reached Chennai.

On hearing this, the officials in the home informed the Child Protection Committee. They also gave a complaint regarding the issue  to the District Child Welfare officer. Based on the complaint, the police rushed to Chengalpattu district and probed the couple. Later, the father and step-mother confessed the crime to the police and both of them were booked under three sections of POCSO Act.
