Tamil Nadu Innoculates 2.34 Lakh Children In The Age Group Of 15-18 Years On Day 1 Of Vaccination Program
Nearly 13 lakh children in the age group of 15-18 years got vaccinated till 3 PM across the country
New Delhi: The health department has announced that 2,34,175 children have been vaccinated against Covid-19 on the first day of the special vaccination program in Tamil Nadu on Monday. As many as 22,310 children have been vaccinated in the Thiruvannamalai district.
In India, Covaxin and Covishield vaccines are being widely used to prevent coronavirus infection in people over 18 years of age. Currently, the Covid and the mutated Omicron virus are spreading rapidly. Thus again there is a need to focus on preventive measures. The Centre has said that the Covaxin vaccine will be given to children between the ages of 15 and 18 from today.

Vaccination of children aged 15-18 years has been started in all the states of India from Monday. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin today launched the program of vaccinating children in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu government has also said that arrangements will be made to vaccinate 15-18 years old students in schools. According to the Tamil Nadu Health Ministry, children can take their parents along with them with their parents to be vaccinated in schools.
CEO of National Health Authority Dr RS Sharma said earlier in the day that the children were quite excited and have started taking the vaccination very seriously. Nearly 13 lakh children in the age group of 15-18 years got vaccinated till 3 PM across the country.
