The accused also said that the victim reportedly touched him in inappropriate places and verbally abused his family members.

Chennai: A 17-year-old boy was detained at Kallakurichi for murdering his classmate who allegedly body shamed him on various occasions in the school. The student also said that the victim reportedly touched him in inappropriate places and verbally abused his family members.

On Monday, Sub Inspector Sivachandran said, the accused admitted to murdering his friend. The accused said that he took the extreme step since the victim allegedly bullied and body shamed him, said a report on Times of India.

Both the students were studying in Class 12 and they were friends. However, recently the accused complained to the school management that his friend was bulling him but the administration failed to act on the complaint.

The accused then stopped the two-wheeler near a shop and both of them had food when the boy suddenly took a sickle and stabbed his friend.

The accused continued to stab his friend multiple times on his neck until he fell to the ground, the report said.
