Stalin, Udhayanidhi Slam Centre Over Zero Qualifying Percentile For NEET PG

Stalin tweeted a write-up on X, formerly known as Twitter, with the title "The Union BJP Government has accepted that benefit of #NEET is #ZERO!"

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and other TN leaders slammed the Union government for making National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) qualifying cut off to zero. Stalin dubbed the decision as "Meaningless" and accused Centre of being heartless. Stalin posted a tweet on X with the title "The Union BJP Government has accepted that benefit of #NEET is #ZERO!"

MK Stalin said, "By reducing the NEET PG cut-off to 'zero', they are accepting that 'eligibility' in National 'Eligibility' Cum Entrance Test is meaningless. It's just about coaching centres and paying for the exam. No more qualification is required."

"NEET = 0. NEET has nothing to do with merit, which we have been saying all along. It has become a mere formality, devoid of any real eligibility criteria," he said.

Stalin accused the BJP-led central government of remaining heartless despite the loss of many precious lives. Stating that the Centre has come up with an order like that, he said, the BJP government must be removed for causing the loss of lives with the guillotine called #NEET.

Udhayanidhi Stalin said the Centre's move to lower NEET percentile has exposed the conspiracy of the national test. He said that when Union government says that PG courses in medicine could be pursued by just appearing for NEET then it creates a question among students and parents about the very need for the test.

Meanwhile, DMK is also planning to organise a NEET abolition campaign next week. The DMK appealed to all party workers to join the protest.
