Foreign Delegates Arrive In Chennai To Take Part In G20 Education Working Group Meet At IIT-Madras
A seminar on the 'Role of Digital Technology in Education' is scheduled at IIT Madras on Tuesday.
Chennai: As part of the run-up to the G20 Summit, the foreign delegates have started to arrive at IIT-Madras Research Park in Chennai for the first G20 Education Working Group (EdWG) on Tuesday.
According to ANI, "Music and celebrations at IIT-Madras Research Park in Chennai as foreign delegates arrive here for the first G20 Education Working Group Meeting."

Under the G20 Education Working Group, the officials have arranged nine separate meetings in various cities. While the first meet is being held in Chennai, the last meet is scheduled to be held in Pune on June 22, 2023.
The EdWG will focus on foundational literacy and numeracy, making tech-enable learning more inclusive, qualitative and collaborative at every level, building capacities, promoting life-long learning in the context of future of work and strengthening research, promoting innovation through richer collaboration and partnerships, as per ANI.
A seminar on 'Role of Digital Technology in Education' will be held at IIT Madras on Tuesday. In the seminar, over 60 delegates from G20 member and guest countries and invited members of organisations including UNESCO and UNICEF will participate on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the two-day meeting of G20 EdWG will begin on Wednesday in Chennai.
A factsheet, as per ANI, said, "This is for the first time that India is providing a unique platform to all the G20 members and guest countries to showcase their innovative inputs and their achievements with respect to using digital technology in education."
For the first time, India is scheduled to conduct G20 Leaders' Summit in the country in September 2023. On December 1, 2022, India received G20 Presidency from Indonesia.
