Chennai: Teenage Boy Alleges Sexual Assault By Classmates At School Premises

The father of the survivor accused the school and police of showing indifference towards his son.

Chennai: A Class 10 boy was reportedly sexually assaulted, threatened and beaten up by his classmates in a central government school at Ashok Nagar of Chennai. The boy was reportedly a new joinee to school and had been going to school only for 30 days.

According to a report on The News Minute, the student's father said that around 12 students sexually assaulted his son for over a month now. 

All the abuse had taken place in the restroom of the school.

He also said that the students beat his son until he bled and took away his belongings including cash. 

When the parents reportedly complained about the repeated blows by the students to the school management, the student was assaulted further.

After the complain when the student went to school on November 21, the students reportedly forced the boy to strip and sexually abused him in the washroom.

The father also alleged that the students' threatened his son with a knife and forced him to watch porn and sexually assaulted him. 

The student opened up about the sexual assault only after the incident on November 21.

As a result, the boy became ill and was admitted to a government hospital in Chennai. 

Following this, a second complaint was given to school authorities. 

However, the school authorities denied the claim and said that it was a false allegation. 

After the student was admitted to the hospital, a formal complaint was also given to the police. 

The police said that they have registered a complaint but a case has not been registered yet in this regard. Hence, they said that they cannot share anything else about the complaint. 

Meanwhile, the father alleged that the police spoke about a compromise. They also accused the school and the police of showing indifference against his son.
