Dushyant Chautala said on Tuesday that the organisers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra had not provided complete information to the district administration.

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said on Tuesday that the organisers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra had not provided complete information to the district administration, due to which violence broke out in Nuh district. He further said that no such incident has occurred in the state in the past and strict action will be taken against those found responsible for the incident, as reported by news agency ANI.

Chautala urged the people in the state to try and maintain peace. "I urge the people to try and maintain peace. No such incident has happened in our state in the past," he said, as reported by ANI. "There have been different inputs, the investigation into the matter is underway, and the police are probing every aspect. As soon as the conclusion is reached, you will be informed. Speaking about the current situation, Chautala said that it is peaceful. No incident has occurred in the area in the last 12 hours," he further said.

Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday appealed to people to maintain peace after a clash erupted between two groups when stones were pelted during a religious procession in the Nuh area near Gurugram. Earlier in the day, Vishva Hindu Parishad's Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra was stopped by a group of young men near Khedla Mod and stones were thrown at the procession, the police said, as per news agency PTI.

People in the procession allegedly hurled stones back at the youths who had stopped them. "Today's incident is unfortunate, I appeal to all the people to maintain peace in the state. The guilty will not be spared at any cost, strictest action will be taken against them," the Chief Minister tweeted.
