Uttar Pradesh: 7 Killed After Ambulance Collides With Canter Vehicle In Bareilly
The incident happened after the driver lost control of the vehicle, which rammed a divider and hit a truck on the other side of the road.
New Delhi: Seven people of a family died in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday morning after an ambulance in which they returning from Delhi collided with a canter vehicle in Fatehganj in Bareilly district, reported news agency ANI. Six of those dead were returning to their hometown from the national capital after a health check-up.
The incident happened after the driver lost control of the vehicle, which rammed a divider and hit a truck on the other side of the road. The deceased included three women and four men.
A probe into the incident has been ordered, and the victims are yet to be identified. According to news agency PTI, preliminary investigations reveal that the ambulance driver may have dozed off and lost control of the vehicle. Meanwhile, the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
Ambulance was coming from Delhi. It had(now deceased)members of the same family, one of them was ill & they were returning from AIIMS. It collided with a truck. Earlier this month, seven people were killed and two were injured in a car collision on the Yamuna Expressway near Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
