Ayodhya Gears Up For Grand Inauguration Of Revamped Railway Station, Maharshi Valmiki Airport: WATCH

Ayodhya has been decked up and security boosted ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit for the inauguration of projects worth Rs 15,000 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya to inaugurate projects worth Rs 15,000 crore on December 30. The city is adorned with flowers, murals, and thematic ornamental columns amidst stringent security measures. Ayodhya's Divisional Commissioner, Gaurav Dayal, stated that despite dense fog over the last two days, preparations for the visit remain on track, according to a PTI report. Security has also been bolstered in the city for the PM's visit.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the redeveloped Ayodhya railway station and a new airport, along with addressing a public rally near the airport. This visit precedes the consecration ceremony of the forthcoming Ram temple by less than a month.

Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham, in Ayodhya was decorated with flowers and security was tightened surrounding the airport on Saturday.

Large posters welcoming PM Modi to the 'holy city of Ayodhya' have been strategically placed at various key locations throughout the temple town. Notably, a significant poster near the new ceremonial gateway leading to the Ram Janmabhoomi temple site carries the message, 'Prabhu Ram ki nagri mey aapka swagat hai' (Welcome to the city of Lord Ram), as reported by PTI.

A statement from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's office said that over 1,400 performers will showcase folk art and cultural programs at 40 stages set up along the route from the airport to the railway station and Ram Path, to welcome the Prime Minister.

On X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, PM Modi mentioned, "Our government is determined to develop world-class infrastructure, improve connectivity and preserve the rich heritage of Ayodhya, the city of Lord Shri Ram. In this direction, I will inaugurate the newly constructed airport and redeveloped railway station tomorrow. Along with this, I will also get the privilege of inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of many more development projects, which will make the life of my family members in many areas of the country including Ayodhya and UP easier."

The day's schedule includes the inauguration of the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station around 11:15 AM, marking the launch of new Amrit Bharat trains and Vande Bharat trains, along with other railway projects. Subsequently, at around 12:15 PM, PM Modi is set to inaugurate the newly constructed Ayodhya Airport.

Around 1 PM, the Prime Minister will participate in a public event, laying the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs 15,700 crore in Uttar Pradesh. Of this, approximately Rs 11,100 crore will be dedicated to Ayodhya and adjoining regions, while Rs 4,600 crore will be allocated to other parts of Uttar Pradesh.

To improve accessibility to the upcoming Ram temple, PM Modi will also inaugurate four newly redeveloped, widened, and beautified roads in Ayodhya – Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Dharm Path, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path.

Speaking on the Prime Minister's visit, Chief Priest Of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Acharya Satyendra Das told ANI, "It is good that PM Narendra Modi is coming here and he will inaugurate the railway station and airport today. He will also hold a roadshow. People will be happy after seeing PM Modi in Ayodhya. The airport will help people from abroad and across the country to come to Ayodhya easily."
