'Emotional Moment': UP MLAs, CM Yogi To Visit Ayodhya Ram Mandir Today, Akhilesh To Skip

MLAs will go to Ayodhya by bus, and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is anticipated to arrive at the Ram Temple around noon.

Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Speaker Satish Mahana, cabinet ministers, and members of the UP Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council, will visit the Ram Temple for Ram Lalla's darshan on Sunday, news agency ANI reported. MLAs will go to Ayodhya by bus, and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is anticipated to arrive at the Ram Temple around midday. Videos from outside the Uttar Pradesh Assembly in Lucknow showed BJP officials shouting 'Jai Shree Ram' before departing for Ayodhya's Ram Temple.

Ritesh Gupta, a BJP MLA from Moradabad, told ANI that he was lucky to get the opportunity to see Lord Ram Lalla. "I am fortunate to get the opportunity to have the darshan of Lord Ram Lalla. After the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, everyone wanted to visit Ayodhya and have a darshan. Today, because of CM Yogi Adityanath, all the MLAs will be travelling to Ayodhya together," Gupta said.

Speaking with media, UP Legislative Assembly Speaker, Satish Mahana said: "This is a special moment for me because I was part of the 'Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mukti Andolan'. This is an emotional moment for me. I am very happy."

Earlier during the discussion on budget in the house, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav once again declined the invitation to visit Ayodhya Ram Mandir. On Speaker's invitation, Yadav stated: “We will go only when Lord Shri Ram calls us.”

Slamming Samajwadi Party, BSP MLA Umashankar Singh stated that this matter should not be politicised. He stated: "The leaders of Samajwadi Party are politicising the issue but we are not. Our party is secular & we respect all religions...One should not politicise this."

In the meantime, thousands of pilgrims visited the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on Saturday, seeking consolation in prayer and the heavenly darshan of Lord Ram. People waited in lengthy queues to visit the god.

On January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Shri Ram Lalla at Ayodhya's historic temple, which was led by a group of priests. Acharya Satyendra Das is the Chief Priest of the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
