The expansion in the Yogi cabinet is believed to be decided next week. 5 to 7 new faces will be included in the cabinet.

Cabinet Expansion in UP: The expansion of the cabinet in UP is almost certain. The cabinet expansion has got the green signal in the meeting held on Sunday with the BJP and the Sangh. The party members have agreed on which new faces will be given a place in the cabinet. On Monday, BJP State President Swatantra Dev Singh and Organization General Secretary Sunil Bansal reached New Delhi. Everything will be decided soon after discussions with BJP National President JP Nadda, National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh and Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. Sources say that 5-7 new names can be included in the expansion. The date of expansion to be held this month will be announced after discussion with CM Yogi Adityanath.

Ministers will not be removed

Sources say that the Sangh has advised the BJP not to remove anyone from the present cabinet. As they think that BJP may suffer instead of benefiting from this. UP BJP has also accepted this advice. On Sunday, a coordination meeting of the union, government and organization was held in Lucknow. CM Yogi Adityanath, State President Swatantra Dev Singh, Organization General Secretary Sunil Bansal and both Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya, Dinesh Sharma, along with Sangh's General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale were present in this meeting. There was an agreement regarding the expansion of the cabinet.

After returning from the meeting, he had a brainstorming session with BJP's Swatantra Dev Singh and Sunil Bansal. Some names were also discussed. The UP organization prepared a list of 10 possible names. They held a meeting with National President JP Nadda and National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh in Delhi on Monday. 5-7 names have been finalized from the UP list. Now, a meeting will be held with Home Minister Amit Shah. They will also be consulted on the shortlisted names.

Special focus on caste issues

Sources say that after the opinion of the Sangh, the BJP has prepared its list in which special attention has been paid to caste issues. At present, apart from the CM, there are 22 cabinet ministers, 9 ministers of state (independent charge) and 21 ministers of the state i.e. a total of 53 people in the UP cabinet. 60 people can be included in the cabinet, and for this reason, a maximum of 7 new ministers can be named. While inducting new ministers, it will be seen that regional and caste balance is maintained in the cabinet. Along with Dalits, backward classes, Brahmins are also likely to get representation in the cabinet.
