PM Modi Inaugurates 'Airport-Like' 'Regal' Ayodhya Dham Railway Station Ahead Of Ram Mandir Consecration Event

The Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, built at a cost of more than Rs 240 crore, is a contemporary three-story structure outfitted with cutting-edge amenities.

PM Modi In Ayodhya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, a significant milestone in the government's commitment to enhancing infrastructure and connectivity. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, CM Yogi Adityanath, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw were also present during the inauguration.

The Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, built at a cost of more than Rs 240 crore, is a contemporary three-story structure outfitted with cutting-edge amenities such as lifts, escalators, food plazas, and child care rooms. Notably, the station is 'accessible for everyone' and has been recognised by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) as a green station building.

Earlier on Friday, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inspected the revamped Ayodhya Railway station.

It is worth noting that the Prime Minister's vision for Ayodhya includes more than just the railway station. He will flag off the Amrit Bharat trains at 11:15 a.m., ushering in a new category of superfast passenger trains in the country.

The Amrit Bharat Express, a non-air-conditioned LHB push-pull train, offers an improved passenger experience with upgraded facilities such as appealing seat designs, better baggage racks, mobile charging outlets, LED lighting, CCTV, and a public information system.

Two Amrit Bharat trains will be inaugurated: the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and the Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express. Six new Vande Bharat Trains will also be launched, adding to the nation's rail network.

The Vande Bharat Express trains run between Ayodhya and Anand Vihar Terminal, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and New Delhi, Amritsar and Delhi, Coimbatore and Bangalore Cantt, Mangalore and Madgaon, and Jalna and Mumbai.

In a comprehensive endeavour to improve regional train infrastructure, the Prime Minister will dedicate three railway projects costing Rs 2300 crore.

The projects include the Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi third line project; the Jaunpur-Tulsi Nagar, Akbarpur-Ayodhya, Sohawal-Patranga, and Safdarganj-Rasauli parts of the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project; and the Malhaur-Daliganj railway segment doubling and electrification project.
