6 Killed In Car-Truck Collision In UP's Muzaffarnagar
Six people have lost their lives in a car accident in UP's Muzaffarnagar.
Six people were killed in a car-truck collision in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar on Tuesday. The visuals of the accident shared by news agency PTI showed a car in a damaged condition. Police said the incident took place at Rampurtiraha on the Delhi-Haridwar national highway.

Circle officer (Sadar) Vinay Gautam told PTI, "The accident looks like a case of overspeeding or maybe the driver fell asleep and the vehicle rammed into the truck, bearing a Punjab registration number, from behind.”
“The entire car got stuck under the truck. Police with the help of the locals and a crane brought the car out. All the occupants of the car were found dead, yet they were taken to the district hospital, where the doctors declared dead," he added.
The deceased have been identified as Kunal (23), Shivam Tyagi (22), Paras Sharma (18), Dheeraj (22) and Vishal (20), all from Delhi, and Aman (22) -- a resident of Meerut.
Yogesh Kumar, who was an eyewitness to the accident said it occurred around 4 am and that six of them died on the sport, adding that the truck driver fled the spot leaving the truck behind, which has not been seized by the police.
Meanwhile, two brothers lost their lives when their two-wheeler skidded in the Gunnaur area of UP's Sambhal district, police said. The accident took place when they were on their way home in Shahjahanpur from Delhi on the occasion of Diwali. Identified as Ratan Pal (23) and Suraj Pal (25), the deceased decided to go home on the bike after they were unable to board a train or bus due to the festive rush.
While Suraj died on the spot, Ratan was rushed to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
