Youth Against Drugs: CM Bhagwant Mann’s Decisive Battle To Save Punjab’s Future

Under CM Bhagwant Mann’s bold leadership, Punjab is witnessing a powerful anti-drug revolution—marked by strict enforcement, public support, and a renewed hope for recovery.

Punjab is healing—and it’s fighting back. For decades, the vibrant state of Punjab bore the scars of drug abuse that hollowed out a generation of its youth. But today, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the winds of change are sweeping across the state, ushering in a new era of hope, recovery, and resolve.

A War Declared – And is Being Won

Immediately after assuming office, CM Bhagwant Mann made a bold promise: to uproot the drug menace from Punjab, once and for all. That promise is now being fulfilled with “Yudh Nashe De Virudh” a state-wide anti-drug campaign that’s showing real, measurable impact on the ground.

Launched in March this year, the campaign has already achieved groundbreaking success. In

just a few weeks:

  • Over 2,136 FIRs have been registered under the NDPS Act
  • Nearly 3,816 drug traffickers and peddlers have been arrested
  • Crackdowns across the state have led to the seizure of illegal drugs and assets linked to the trade
  • Drug hotspots are being identified and systematically dismantled

A 3-Month Timeline. A Lifelong Impact.

CM Mann has set a strict 3-month action timeline to rid Punjab of narcotics. The campaign is not just a symbolic move, it’s backed by robust administrative action, community partnerships, and a strong will to rehabilitate, restore, and rebuild.

Even the assets of key offenders are being confiscated and sealed, sending a clear message: Punjab will no longer tolerate the poisoning of its people.

From Villages to Cities: A Grassroots Revolution

This isn’t just a top-down campaign. The war on drugs is being fought in villages, towns, and mohallas, with panchayats and local bodies joining hands with law enforcement. Youth-led initiatives, volunteer networks, and awareness drives are making every citizen a stakeholder in Punjab’s recovery. In some districts, the community has gone a step ahead publicly shaming drug suppliers and warning them to stay out, showing the strength of collective will.

The People Stand With CM Mann

One of the most remarkable aspects of this movement is the public support it has received. For the first time in years, ordinary citizens are rallying behind the police and the government, sharing tip-offs, attending awareness events, and even rescuing addicts by guiding them to rehabilitation. This is not just a campaign, it’s a resurgence of the Punjabi spirit.

A Drug-Free Punjab Is No Longer a Dream—It’s a Work in Progress

Under the determined leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab is reclaiming its youth, its identity, and its future. With strong enforcement, unwavering commitment, and people-powered movements, the state is standing tall in its mission against drugs. Let’s spread the word. Let’s support the mission. Because a stronger, healthier, addiction-free Punjab is the legacy we all deserve.
