'Tech Used To Weed Out 11 Cr Dummy Names From Govt Schemes To Fight Corruption': PM Modi In Poll-Bound MP
PM Narendra Modi also laid the foundation stone of ‘Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan’ and inaugurated projects worth Rs 12,000 crore in rail, road and energy sectors in Madhya Pradesh.
New Delhi: Underlining a “remarkable achievement” in the ongoing fight against corruption, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said advanced technology was used to weed out approximately 11 crore dummy names enlisted under government schemes.
Addressing a rally in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, PM Modi said, “By using advanced technology, we removed the dummy names of 11 crore people from the government schemes. These people had made ways to rob the state funds. These 11 crore summy names were taking the share of the poor people.”

Prime Minister Modi also laid the foundation stone of ‘Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan’ and inaugurated projects worth Rs 12,000 crore in rail, road and energy sectors, news agency ANI reported.
The Rani Durgavati Udyaan will have her 52-foot-high bronze statue and a museum highlighting the history of Gondwana region.
PM Modi inaugurated the Light House Project at Indore and laid the foundation stone of several Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Mandla, Jabalpur and Dindori districts in the poll-bound state, according to ANI.
He also laid the foundation stone of projects in the road sector, including upgrading of the road connecting Jharkheda, Berasia, Dholkhedi in National Highway 346, four laning of Balaghat- Gondia Section of NH 543, four-laning of Khandwa Bypass connecting Rudhi to Deshgaon, four-laning of Temagaon to Chicholi section of NH 47, four-laning of Boregaon-Shahpur road, and four-laning of road connecting Shahpur to Muktainagar, ANI reported.
PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of Nagpur Jabalpur section of Mumbai Nagpur Jharsuguda Pipeline Project. It will be built at a cost of over Rs 1100 crore.
In the railway sector, the prime minister inaugurated projects including doubling of rail line connecting Katni - Vijaysota and Marwasgram – Singrauli, the news agency reported.
These projects were inaugurated with the objective to boost trade and tourism in the state.
