Mohan Yadav's First Order As MP CM: Ban On Unregulated Use Of Loudspeakers, Meat Sale In Open

Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav ordered a ban on unregulated use of loudspeakers and sale of meat in open.

New Delhi: After assuming the chair, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav ordered a ban on the unregulated use of loudspeakers in religious and other public places. He has also given instructions to ban sale of meat in open.

"Today we have taken several decisions during the first Cabinet meeting. We have raised the issue of meat sales in the open and have proposed to bring rules for this,” CM Yadav said while addressing a press conference on Wednesday.

The 58-year-old BJP leader was administered the oath of office by Governor Mangubhai Patel at the Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda and Mohan Yadav's predecessor Shivraj Singh Chouhan were present at the event.

Asked about his priorities, CM Yadav said that his government will focus on education, employment and health sectors. “We will focus on progress in education, health, employment (sectors) and development in all other areas in the state under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi ji," PTI quoted the chief minister as saying.

It is to be noted that Yadav is the fourth OBC chief minister of Madhya Pradesh from the BJP since 2003. Uma Bharti, Babulal Gaur and Shivraj Singh Chouhan were the other three BJP leaders from the OBC community.

Yadav’s appointment marks end of the era of BJP stalwart and four-time CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
