Fire Breaks Out In Chemical Factory In Maharashtra's Palghar, No Casualty Reported — Watch
A fire broke out on Saturday at a chemical factory in Palghar district. No casualties have been reported so far and the firefighters are trying to douse the fire.
A fire broke out in a chemical factory in the Wada area of Maharashtra's Palghar district on Saturday morning. No casualties have been reported so far. A Palghar Fire Brigade official while talking to the news agency ANI said that the fire brigades are on the spot and the efforts to douse the fire are ongoing. A video tweeted by ANI showcases thick black smoke emerging from the factory.

In another incident, a major fire broke out in a seven-storey residential building in the Kalbadevi area of south Mumbai in the wee hours of Friday. However, there was no reports of any casualties, according to news agency PTI. The blaze erupted in the building located on Dhanji Street near the famous Mumbadevi temple around 1:30 am. There were around 50-60 people trapped inside the building who were later rescued by the firefighters. The fire engulfed five floors starting from the ground floor. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
At least 12 fire engines were deployed at the spot to douse the fire from all sides and carry out rescue efforts. A 40-year-old man sustained a minor burn injury and a medical team of the 108 emergency ambulance service treated him on the spot, said an official.
Around two weeks back, another fire broke out in a chemical factory in Palghar. The fire started in a chemical factory of Tarapur in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) Palghar. The fire took a severe form after serial blasts in the factory.
