Is AAP Mulling Manish Sisodia's Post In Delhi Govt After Bail Relief? Here's What MP Sandeep Pathak Said

AAP MP Sandeep Pathak responded to posers on whether the party is mulling Manish Sisodia's post in the Delhi government following his bail from Tihar Jail after 17 months.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia will engage with the people of Delhi through a Padayatra on August 14, as announced by AAP MP Sandeep Pathak. Speaking on Sunday, Pathak stated, "Tomorrow a meeting will be held with all the MLAs. The day after tomorrow, the councillors will meet Manish Sisodia. On August 14, Manish Sisodia will meet the people of Delhi through Padayatra."

Sandeep Pathak added, "It has become clear to the people of this country that the BJP and Narendra Modi’s sole agenda is to halt, obstruct, and break this party. Despite such adverse circumstances, the party remains strong, is performing well, and is growing in every state. We have emerged even stronger. We will meet the people and continue to work hard for Delhi."

Asked whether AAP is mulling former deputy CM Sisodia’s post in Delhi government, Pathak stated, "Discussions will be held on this matter in the coming time, and Arvind Kejriwal will make the decision."

"Full preparation is going on in Haryana. We have held 40 to 50 meetings, all major leaders are going there... Haryana election will be a high-octane election," he said when asked about the upcoming assembly elections.

Ahead of the Delhi assembly elections, Sisodia convened a significant meeting at his residence with senior AAP leaders, including National General Secretary (Organisation) Sandeep Pathak, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, Delhi State Convenor Gopal Rai, National Secretary Pankaj Gupta, and ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj.

Manish Sisodia Urges AAP, Public To Unite Against 'Tyranny'

Sisodia has been granted bail by the Supreme Court in connection with corruption and money laundering charges related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. In his address on Saturday, he urged party workers and the public to unite against what he termed "tyranny". He asserted that if all opposition parties stand together against dictatorship, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would be released from prison within 24 hours. Sisodia remarked, "If the whole opposition gives a call (against dictatorship) with full force, Arvind Kejriwal will come out of jail within 24 hours." Kejriwal remains in Tihar Jail in connection with the excise policy case.

Following his release from Tihar Jail after 17 months, Sisodia visited the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place and offered prayers, later paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. Addressing AAP workers at the party headquarters, Sisodia urged them to continue fighting against the perceived dictatorship and highlighted the need for unity within the opposition bloc.

He also criticised the BJP, claiming that their actions were part of a conspiracy to malign Kejriwal's image. Sisodia described the excise policy case as a fabricated plot by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

In his remarks, Sisodia expressed optimism about achieving justice, noting, "I hoped to get justice in seven to eight months, but it took 17 months. But in the end, truth triumphed." He also highlighted his belief that India could become a developed nation by 2047 with improved government schools, healthcare, and employment.

AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, ministers Gopal Rai, Atishi, and Saurabh Bharadwaj, along with numerous party workers, were present during Sisodia's visit to the party headquarters.
