Manish Sisodia Talks About His Time In Jail, Sunita Kejriwal's Rise In First Interview After Bail

Manish Sisodia praised Sunita Kejriwal's role in AAP during his imprisonment. He also talked about the 17 months spent in jail in the Delhi liquor policy case.

Manish Sisodia: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia indicated that Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal's elevation in the party bodes well for the Aam Aadmi Party. In his first interview after coming out of jail, Manish Sisodia, who served a 17-month prison sentence in the Delhi liquor policy case, spoke to ABP News and said: "I used to laugh at the kind of 'news' being put out about Sunita Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal and I are like family. Sunitaji is a very well-educated woman and a former officer. She is a decent woman. The party faced a crisis and the biggest leader of the party went to jail. Sunitaji did a wonderful job of conveying his messages to the public."

On his future in the AAP, Manish Sisodia said that he would do whatever the party asks of him.

Speaking about his time in prison, Manish Sisodia said: "I thought I would be released from jail after 6-7 months. But it did not happen and it took 17 months for my release. If a businessman is subjected to imprisonment for 17 months, his entire business will come to a standstill. Businessmen are being extorted using this threat of prolonged imprisonment."

Manish Sisodia said that during his arrest, he felt bad for his wife, who had to suffer a lot. "However, because of my family, I was able to muster the courage to fight," he said. Sisodia was released on August 9 after a Supreme Court order.

He said that BJP wants to put opposition leaders in jail. Former Delhi Deputy CM and former Education Minister Manish Sisodia accused the BJP of misusing central agencies and claimed that if it is not stopped, it will arrest Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge tomorrow.

Manish Sisodia said that I was arrested, Hemant Soren was arrested and then CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested. BJP is sending agencies after the opposition party leaders. Manish Sisodia said that not only political parties are being targeted but this is happening with businessmen as well. Our businessmen are being extorted in the name of central agencies.
