Fire Breaks Out At ITO Revenue Building in Delhi, 6 Fire Tenders Respond

Fire broke out at ITO Revenue building; doused in 10 minutes. Recent Delhi fires include incidents in Janakpuri, Wazirpur, Budh Vihar, and Shahdara, raising safety concerns.

A fire broke out in Room No. 238 of the Revenue building at the ITO office on Thursday morning. The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received a call at 9:57 AM and promptly dispatched six fire tenders to the site. The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes. "Fire was in a room. DFS has sent 6 fire tenders. Fire is under control. More information is awaited," said a DFS official.

This incident is the latest in a series of fire-related emergencies in the national capital over the past week. On June 2, a massive fire engulfed two buses on Pankha Road in the Janakpuri area. According to the Delhi Fire Service officials, the blaze was intense but no injuries were reported.

In a separate incident on Monday, a cylinder blast caused a fire in four to five jhuggis in the Wazirpur Industrial area. "The fire broke out in 4-5 jhuggis due to a cylinder blast in Wazirpur Industrial area. One woman was injured and was admitted to a hospital," said the Fire Services. Two fire tenders were deployed, and the situation was quickly brought under control.

Earlier, on May 31, a massive fire was reported at the Sunday Bazar in Budh Vihar Phase 2, affecting 10 to 12 huts. Fire officials responded with two to four fire tenders and successfully extinguished the flames. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. "The reason behind the accident is yet to be revealed. No casualties have been reported."

Tragically, a previous fire incident at an e-rickshaw charging station on Moti Ram Road in Shahdara claimed two lives and left four others injured.
