Arvind Kejriwal Skips Court Hearing In Sonipat Over 'Poisoning Yamuna' Row, Next Hearing On May 31
Arvind Kejriwal faces a case over Yamuna River water allegations. He failed to appear in court, and the next hearing is set for May 31.

A case was filed against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the officials from the Irrigation Department regarding the water of the Yamuna River. The AAP leader did not appear in the Sonipat court today, and the next hearing has been scheduled to be held on May 31.
On behalf of Kejriwal, the arguments were presented by the lawyer of the AAP leader. In the application, he stated that the case should be heard by a special court. Pawan Atrai, a government lawyer from Sonipat, provided this information.
As Kejriwal didn't appear in the case today, BJP leader Mohan Badoli said that if this is how Kejriwal will continue to disrespect the court, the Sonipat court will even then send him to jail.
It is to be mentioned that the AAP supremo Kejriwal didn't appear in the case even on the first hearing on February 17. He was then represented by AAP legal cell head and Vice President of the Bar Council of Delhi, Sanjeev Nasir.
Nasir told the court that he did not receive the evidence related to the case along with the notice. On this, he was provided with the evidence and video related to the matter on a pen drive. A reply has now been filed by the team of advocates of Arvind Kejriwal.
A case was filed on behalf of the State Disaster Management Authority by Ashish Kaushik, Executive Engineer of Rai Water Services Division, complaining that a crowd of people from the surrounding villages adjacent to the Yamuna River gathered in the premises of the Irrigation Department and started asking why the Haryana government has poured poison in the Yamuna River.
When people were asked what the source of their information was, some people showed a video viral on social media in which Arvind Kejriwal was seen giving a statement that the Haryana government has mixed poison in the water of the Yamuna River. A case was then filed against the AAP chief, Arvind Kejriwal.
