Bhagwant Mann Marriage: Punjab CM Ties The Knot In Chandigarh. Arvind Kejriwal, Raghav Chadha Attend Ceremony
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann got married to Dr Gurpreet Kaur at a private ceremony in Chandigarh amid family members and senior AAP leaders such as Arvind Kejriwal and Raghav Chadha.
New Delhi: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday tied the knot with Dr. Gurpreet Kaur at a private ceremony in Chandigarh. Tight security arrangements were made at the residence of the Chief Minister ahead of the ceremony. AAP leaders such as party convener Arvind Kejriwal, MP Raghav Chadha, and others joined in the wedding celebrations in Chandigarh. It was previously informed that Mann's family members, including his mother and sister, and a few other guests will attend the wedding solemnised according to Sikh rituals.

CM Bhagwant Mann's wife Dr Gurpreet Kaur belongs to Pehowa in Haryana's Kurukshetra. It is his second marriage. He had separated from his first wife in 2015 and has two children -- daughter Seerat Kaur (21) and son Dilshan (17) -- from his first marriage.

Talking to reporters ahead of the ceremony, AAP MP Raghav Chadha said, “A new chapter in CM Bhagwant Mann's life is going to start today. I congratulate Mann saab's family, his mother and sister. It will be a small function. Only family members will attend." "We all are happy that happiness has returned to Mann saab's family after a long time. It was his mother's dream to see her son getting settled again. Today, that dream is going to come true," he added, as quoted by news agency PTI.
AAP convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also extended his wishes saying, "He is embarking on a new journey today, I wish him a happy married life."
As previously mentioned, the Punjab Chief Minister's family members, including his mother and sister, were part of the marriage solemnised according to Sikh rituals.
Earlier in the day, the bride shared a picture of herself on Twitter and wrote, “Din Shagna Da Chadya…” (the day of marriage has arrived).

She also thanked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders for their congratulatory messages.
As per PTI, Gurpreet Kaur completed her MBBS from a private university in Haryana in 2018. She has two elder sisters who are settled abroad.
