Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann married Dr Gurpreet Kaur today, this is his second marriage after being divorced for six years. Kaur and Mann have known each other for a while, the marriage was arranged by his mother and sister.

Dr Gurpreet Kaur and the Punjab CM have known each other for a long time, and she has been seen visiting the CM’s house.

Dr Gurpreet Kaur is from Pehowa, is a physician who pursued her MBBS at a private university in Haryana four years ago. She enrolled in 2013 and completed in 2018. Her neighbour describes Dr Gurpreet as a kind-hearted, caring, and very intelligent young woman.

Mann has been divorced for six years, and his former wife lives in the US along with their two children. The children had attended Mann's swearing-in ceremony after he was appointed the chief minister of Punjab.

The wedding was at his private residence with the presence of his close relatives. AAP senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP was given the responsibility to arrange everything for the small ceremony. Certain AAP members including the convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal attended the wedding.

The marriage is being solemnised as per Sikh rituals in Chandigarh.
