Andhra-Telangana Floods: Mahesh Babu To Heritage Foods — What Celebs & Businesses Have Pledged To CM's Relief Fund

Nara Bhuvaneswari, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of Heritage Foods Limited, announced a donation of Rs 1 crore each to the Chief Minister's Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

In the wake of unprecedented floods that have wreaked havoc across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, numerous politicians and celebrities have stepped forward to contribute generously to the Chief Ministers' Relief Funds on Tuesday. With over 30 lives lost to the torrential rains, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy have both urged the Centre to declare the situation a natural calamity.

Nara Bhuvaneswari, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of Heritage Foods Limited, announced a donation of Rs 1 crore each to the Chief Minister's Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Speaking about the contribution, she stated, "At Heritage Foods, we believe in standing by our communities, especially in times of crisis. The recent floods have impacted many lives, and we are committed to supporting the state's efforts in providing relief and rebuilding the affected areas. We hope our contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have been affected."

Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu also came forward with a pledge of Rs 50 lakhs each to the relief funds of both states. "In light of the floods impacting both the Telugu states, I am pledging a donation of 50 lakhs each to the CM Relief Fund for both AP and Telangana. Let’s collectively support the measures being undertaken by the respective governments to provide immediate aid and facilitate the recovery process for the flood-affected regions. I urge everyone to contribute to this cause. May we rise above this crisis and emerge stronger," he urged.

Similarly, actor Chiranjeevi Konidela expressed his grief over the tragedy, announcing a donation of Rs 1 crore, split equally between the two states. "The hardships caused to the people due to the effect of the flood in the Telugu states make me sad. The loss of tens of innocent lives is very tragic. Under the direction of the Chief Ministers, both governments are working hard to improve the situation. We all need to be involved in relief efforts in some way," he stated.

 

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced Rs 1 crore in aid specifically for the flood victims in Vijayawada, after discussing the situation with senior party leaders at the party's central office in Tadepalli. YS Jagan, who personally visited the flood-affected areas, criticised the current government's failure to provide adequate assistance to the victims. "The Rs 1 crore aid from the YSR Congress Party will be used to support those in need," he affirmed.

Jr. NTR, another prominent figure in the Telugu film industry, also contributed Rs 50 lakhs each to the Chief Ministers' Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He expressed his empathy for the affected communities, stating, "I am deeply moved by the recent floods in the two Telugu states due to heavy rains. I pray to God that Telugu people recover from this calamity soon."

Similarly, actor Prabhas announced a donation of Rs. 1 crore each to the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Ministers' Relief Funds for flood relief. Donating Rs 1 crore, actor Allu Arjun said, "I'm saddened by the loss and suffering caused by the devastating rains in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In these challenging times, I humbly donate ₹1 crore in total to the CM Relief Funds of both states to support the relief efforts. Praying for everyone's safety 🙏."
