Wimbledon 2023: The bizarre turn of events unfolded during the second set of the match between Lehecka and Medvedev.
In a rather hilarious incident during a tennis match at the grass court Grand Slam the Wimbledon Championships, Jiri Lehecka's return shot did not go where it was intended but landed right in the pint of beer of a fan sitting at the stands. The crowd the saw the funny side of it and even the fan whose beverage it spoiled. Soon after, the video of the incident which happened during the match between Lehecka and Daniil Medvedev went viral on social media.

The bizarre turn of events unfolded during the second set of the match which Lehecka quit after losing the first two sets 4-6, 2-6. The Czech tennis player was forced to retire with an injury which meant his Russian opponent entered his maiden Wimbledon quarterfinal.

Medvedev will now face Christopher Eubanks in the quarter-final. The American tennis star stunned Greek Tennis ace Stefanos Tsitsipas in a match that lasted five sets. Eubanks prevailed 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Meanwhile, in the other round of 16 fixtures in the men's singles category, Novak Djokovic registered a win over Hubert Hurkacz while world number 1 Carlos Alacaraz also remained in contention for an epic showdown with Djokovic with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 win over Matteo Berrettini. Danish tennis player Holger Rune also remained alive in the tournament and proceded to the quarters with a 3-6, 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 win over Grigor Dimitrov.
