Tokyo Olympics 2020: Even PM Modi has praised Manika Batra's sport. India is expecting a medal from Manika Batra in both the women's singles and mixed doubles events.

Tokyo Olympics 2020: Two days later, the Olympic Games will start in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. This time 127 players are participating in the Olympic Games from India - the largest contingent of India in the history to participate in the Olympic Games. India is expected to do its best in the Tokyo Olympics. The name of table tennis star Manika Batra is included in the list of players expected to win gold medals.

Four players, including Manika Batra, will participate in table tennis from India. Apart from singles, Manika will also be seen trying her luck for a medal in mixed doubles. In mixed doubles, Manika Batra will enter the field with Sharath Kamal. 

Manika Batra has emerged as the new star in table tennis for India at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Manika won four medals for India in singles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, and team events, including two golds. Manika Batra, however, is going to participate in the Olympic Games for the second time.

Manika Batra, a resident of Delhi, started playing table tennis at a very young age. At the age of 8, Manika joined the professional academy of table tennis. She had said in an interview that, as a child, she did not think of making it this long. 

At the age of 13, Manika got her first break for India. After this, Manika never looked back and created history by winning a medal in the 2016 Asian Championships. She scripted history in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

After performing brilliantly in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, PM Modi also praised Manika Batra. The whole country, including PM Modi, hopes that Manika Batra will definitely be able to create history by winning a medal for India in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics.
