'Ye Spinner Tha Ki Batsman Tha?': Shahid Afridi Claps Back At Amit Mishra For Trolling Babar Azam

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, the highest run-scorer for his team in previous edition of T20 World Cup, has so far scored just 8 runs in three matches in T20 World Cup 2022.

Babar Azam trolled by Amit Mishra: Former India cricketer Amit Mishra was in the news recently for trolling out-of-form Pakistan cricket team skipper Babar Azam after he got run-out during his team's T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 match against Netherlands at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Following Babar's run-out, Amit posted on Twitter: "This, too, will pass. Keep going, Babar Azam."

Back in July when Virat Kohli was struggling with his form, Babar Azam had posted a similar tweet to back him, moments after his dismissal in an ODI match against England. He wrote, "This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli," - a tweet that garnered lots of reactions from the cricket fraternity. While Babar's tweet was genuine, Amit Mishra's tweet seemed more like a sarcastic dig.

This too shall pass. Stay strong @babarazam258.

Ex-Pakistan skipper Shahid Afirid reacted to Mishra's tweet by saying,“Ye jo aap naam le rahe hain Amit Mishra, ye bhi India se khela hua hai. Ye spinner tha ki batsman tha?” said Afridi to Samaa TV. “Koi baat nahi. Chalein aage. This too shall pass," he added.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, the highest run-scorer for his team in previous edition of T20 World Cup, has so far scored just 8 runs in three matches in T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Babar got out for a golden duck in his first T20 World Cup 2022 match, which was against India. Babar scored a total for 4 runs each in his second and third match against Zimbabwe and Netherlands, respectively.

Pakistan is slated to play its next T20 World Cup match against South Africa at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Thursday, November 3.
