Varun Dhawan Gets Corrected For Saying 'Jasprit Bumrah Will Play Big Role' In T20 World Cup - WATCH
Varun Dhawan mentioned names of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, skipper Rohit Sharma before picking Bumrah as India's star performers to be in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
India vs Pakistan: Bollywood superstar Varun Dhawan backed injured India pacer Jasprit Bumrah to 'play a big role in T20 World Cup 2022' without realising that the pacer was not part of India's T20 World Cup squad, Bumrah was ruled out of the ICC tournament due to back issues. He was replaced by Mohammed Shami. The presenters on Star Sports immediately corrected actor Varun Dhawan who mentioned names of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, skipper Rohit Sharma before picking Bumrah while naming India's star performers to be in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

BCCI had initially named Jasprit Bumrah in India's T20 World Cup 2022 squad but he was ruled out from the ICC event after sustaining a back injury. Senior pacer Mohammed Shami, playing his first ever T20I match on Sunday for India since last edition of T20 World Cup, was brought in as his replacement to lead India's bowling attack. BCCI is yet to give an official update on when Bumrah will return back to the field. Also, if another seam bowler gets injured, Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj have traveled to Australia as reserve players.
Talking about the India vs Pakistan T20 WC match, captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first. Pakistan posted a total of 159 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets, batting first. Team India has a target of 160 runs to chase.
