Sehwag welcomes 'Burj Khalifa' Ishant Sharma to KXIP team
Photo: AFP New Delhi: Ishant Sharma has been picked up by Kings XI Punjab as a replacement for injured Murali Vijay for the tenth edition of IPL. The Indian speedster, who went unsold in the auction, mainly because of his higher base price (INR 2 crore) has now found an IPL team on the eve of the tournament. Former Indian cricketer and current Kings XI Punjab Manager Virender Sehwag welcomed Ishant Sharma in his own style. Sehwag took a sarcastic dig at Sharma by posting an expression of him which he made in recently concluded 4-match Test series against Australia. This expression of Ishant has been doing rounds on the internet for quite a while now and Sehwag wants Ishant to repeat this ‘iconic’ expression. The 6’3’ tall Indian speedster thanked Sehwag for his unique welcome note. Kings XI Punjab will play their first game against Ishant's former franchise Rising Pune Supergiant on April 8.
