Sachin Tendulkar 100 centuries: Former India spinner Pragyan Ojha on Tuesday took to Twitter to post a video in which Sachin Tendulkar can be seen cutting a cake to celebrate the occasion.

It has been 9 years since this day on Tuesday when Ex-India veteran batsman Sachin Tendulkar, popularly known as 'God of Cricket', became the first-ever cricketer to score 100th centuries in the history of the game. This was the 49th century of Sachin's ODI career. He achieved this elusive feat during India's match against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup.

Sachin Tendulkar was 38-years-old when he played a remarkable 147-ball 114 run knock against Bangladesh to get to his 100th ton. The legendary batsman had to wait for about a year for scoring his 100th century after he scored his 99th century against South Africa in the 2011 World Cup.

Sachin and other former Indian cricket team cricketers like Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan are in Raipur for the Road Safety World Series.

On March 16, 2012, Sachin had scored 114 runs off 147 balls against Bangladesh with the help of 12 fours and a six, due to which India managed to put 289 runs on the scoreboard for loss of five wickets. However, despite his fiery innings, Bangladesh won the match by chasing down the target.

Sachin Tendulkar is the only batsman in the world who has scored 100 centuries in international cricket, followed by former Australia captain Ricky Ponting, who has 71 centuries while Indian captain Virat Kohli has also scored 70 centuries in his career so far.
