Paris Olympics: PM Modi's Pep Talk To Indian Athletes During Special Interaction — Watch

Prime Minister Narendra Modi motivated the Indian contingent bound for Paris Olympics 2024 in a special interaction in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Indian athletes bound for the Paris Olympics 2024 on July 4 (Thursday) in New Delhi, extending his best wishes to them during a special interaction. Modi also conversed with Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra and two-time Olympic medalist badminton player PV Sindhu. During the interaction, Modi expressed confidence in India's Olympic-bound contingent, anticipating that they will bring pride to the nation. India is set to send nearly 120 athletes to the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

PM Modi encouraged the Indian contingent bound for the upcoming Paris Olympics, stating the importance of learnings and resilience in the face of challenges.

'You Will Bring Glory To India': PM Modi Motivates Paris-Bound Indian Contingent

He expressed confidence that despite hardships, the athletes' dedication to their country and the tricolour flag will bring glory to India in the sporting arena.

"We are going to play, we are going for our best performance. Olympics is also a very big field for learning... There are many opportunities to learn for the one who works with a learning attitude. There is no dearth of opportunities for those who want to live in complaint...People from countries like ours go there, they face many difficulties and inconveniences, but in their hearts, they have their country and their tricolour flag. I am sure that this time too you will bring glory to India in the sports field," said Modi while interacting with the Indian athletes.

PM Modi Interacts With PV Sindhu & Neeraj Chopra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with PV Sindhu, the two-time Olympic medalist, who expressed her goal of winning another medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. Modi also interacted virtually with gold medalist javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, discussing his upcoming participation in the Paris Olympics.

The Paris Games will commence on July 26 and conclude on August 11. The event will feature 329 competitions with nearly 10,500 athletes from 184 countries participating.
