'No Action By WFI Panel': Vinesh Phogat Accuses Yogeshwar Dutt Of Leaking Wrestlers' Statements

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat has alleged that despite telling WFI oversight panel that Yogeshwar Dutt is leaking the statements of women grapplers, no action was taken so far.

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat has said that grappler Yogehswar Dutt is leading the statement given by wrestlers and that they informed about the same through email to the WFI's oversight committee. However, she said, that no action was taken in this regard on their complaint. This comes a day after Phogat, in a long tweet, slammed Dutt for his partial behaviour towards Brij Bhushan Singh.

“We had written an email to the entire (WFI’s oversight) committee, telling them that Yogeshwar Dutt is leaking the statements given by the wrestlers’. However, no action was taken in this regard,” Vinesh Phogat told PTI.

Phogat called Yogeshwar 'Jaichand' (the traitor king who betrayed Prithvi Raj Chauhan) and said that Dutt used to 'smile' when women wrestlers told their grievances. She said Dutt was part of two committees made to address the issue of women wrestlers.

She added that when two women wrestlers came out to drink water, he asked them to continue practice and not complain against Brij Bhushan.

She alleged that to one wrestler, he said 'all this keeps on happening' and 'don't make an issue out of it'. Vinesh said that Dutt tried his best to stop coachers and other wrestlers to join the protest.

Accusing Dutt of making inappropriate remarks all the time, she said that society will never let him rise because people are always aware of 'poisonous' snake. She asked Yogeshwar to not put so much energy into putting down the women wrestlers because their intentions are very strong. She said that as long as 'Jaichand' like Yogeshwar remains in wrestling, surely the spirits of the oppressors will remain high.
