NBA Eastern Conference Finals: Miami Heat Book Spot With LA Lakers In NBA Finals After 4-2 Series Win Against Boston Celtics

The Heat sealed the 7-game Eastern Conference finals series 4-2 against Boston Celtics and will now lock horns with Los Angeles Lakers in the finals for the NBA title.

Miami Heat toppled Boston Celtics 125-113 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals played at the Advent Health Arena in Florida on Monday (September 28) and secured a spot in the NBA finals against LA Lakers. The Heat sealed the 7-game Eastern Conference finals series 4-2 against Boston Celtics and will now lock horns against Los Angeles Lakers in the finals for the NBA title. The Lakers who won the Western Conference finals are led by LeBron James, who played for the Miami Heat from 2010-14 and led the Heat to two titles in 2012 and 2013. Heat won Game 6 and wrapped up the 7-match series as Bam Adebayo powered the win by scoring 32 points, snatched 14 rebounds and helped out with five assists. Jimmy Butler added 22 points and eight assists, and Andre Iguodala came off the bench to score 15 points on 5 of 5 from the field. Miami Heat's march to yet another NBA Finals also marks the sixth straight year Andre Iguodala has reached the summit clash in the most competitive basketball league in the world. Iguodala happens to be only the 10th player in NBA history to achieve the stellar milestone. He joins an elite club of basketball greats in Bill Russell (10), Sam Jones (9), Tom Heinsohn (8), Frank Ramsey (8), LeBron James (8), James Jones (7), K.C. Jones (7), Bob Cousy (7) and Tom Sanders (6). It was yet another disappointing finish for Boston Celtics as they lost in the Eastern Conference finals for the third time in last four seasons. Jaylen Brown scored 26 points, Jayson Tatum had 24 and a career-high 11 assists, and Marcus Smart and Kemba Walker each scored 20 points for Boston. The Heat are the only NBA franchise with six Finals appearances in the last 15 years. They are seeking their fourth NBA title on the back of a stellar run in the play-offs. Miami made the NBA finals on the back of a dominant playoff run which includes beating Indiana Pacers in the first round, then upsetting top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks, who had the best record in the N.B.A in five games this season.
