Anderson Peters edged Neeraj Chopra for the first place by the barest of margins, as the Grenadian finished only 1cm ahead of the Indian athlete.

Final Standings Of The Men's Javelin Throw Final at the Diamond League 2024:

  • Anderson Peters: 87.87m
  • Neeraj Chopra: 87.86m
  • Julian Weber: 85.97m

This year's Men's Javelin Throw Final of Diamond League did not feature Paris Olympics 2024 Gold Medalist Arshad Nadeem as he fell short of the qualification standings. The Pakistani athlete had 5 points to his name, which led him to an eighth-place finish.

The reason behind Arshad Nadeem's failure to qualify for the final is the fact that he has not participated in any event since his historic Gold medal win at the Olympics 2024.

Neeraj Chopra, with his second-place finish, has unfortunately surrendered his title, and even though he is having a remarkable 2024, Neeraj Chopra has now lost his Diamond League and Olympics title this year.
