James Anderson Adds Another Feather To His Cap With This 'Unique Record', Overtakes Sachin Tendulkar And Rahul Dravid

James Anderson Test Record: Indian veteran players Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid are at number three in this list with 95-95 Tests in the order.

New Delhi: On the fourth day of the second Test of the three-match series between England and New Zealand, Anderson added another feather to his cap after becoming only the second cricketer in the world to play 100 Test matches after crossing the age of 30. In the same match, Anderson also touched the 650-wicket mark in Test cricket as soon as New Zealand's Tom Latham was dismissed. He has become the first fast bowler in the world to do so.

Former England wicketkeeper Alec Stewart has played the most Test matches after crossing the age of 30, while this was Anderson's 100th Test match. At the same time, Indian veteran players Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid are at number three in this list with 95-95 Tests in the order. Anderson's inclusion in this list is also special because he is a fast bowler. Even at the age of 39, he remains an example for young fast bowlers. The way Anderson is bowling, it looks like he will continue to play Test cricket for a long time. Anderson will now have a chance to surpass Alec Stewart and make a world record.

The first match in the history of Test cricket was played between Australia and England on the Melbourne ground in 1877. In the history of Test cricket from 1877 till now, James Anderson is the first fast bowler in the world to take the highest 650 wickets. James Anderson made his Test debut for England in 2003.
