Now, with Rajasthan Royals' campaign over, Vaibhav returned to his hometown of Samastipur, Bihar, where he received a hero's welcome. The video of his homecoming celebration is going viral on social media.

Rajasthan Royals had a disappointing season, finishing with just 4 wins from 14 matches and missing out on a playoff spot.

Their final game was against Chennai Super Kings on May 20. Following their exit, Vaibhav made his way back home after nearly two months.

In Samastipur, the young cricketer was greeted with garlands, cheers, and celebrations from his family and locals. A cake-cutting ceremony was held to honour his performance. The Rajasthan Royals shared a video of the celebration on their official social media accounts, capturing the joy and pride of the moment.

Standout Debut Season

Vaibhav played 7 matches this season, scoring 252 runs at an average of 36 and a remarkable strike rate of 206.55. His top score was 101, and he also registered a half-century. He was signed by the Royals for Rs 1.2 crore in the previous mega auction, and he lived up to the investment with performances well beyond his age.
